Red Bull Esports Athlete Anakin is set to make his appearance at WSOE 7. The Atlanta, Georgia native was originally from Vietnam and moved to the US when he was 3 years old. At the age of 6, Anakin started going to his local arcade to play anything he could get his hands on. The young gamer then became good enough to enter his first Tekken tournament at the age of 10. After finding his love for both Tekken and winning, Anakin put school on hold to be a full-time player.
Young Phenom Turned into a Star As a three-time CEO champion and currently ranked #1 in the US, Anakin has competed in over 200 events and is looking to be a dominant force at WSOE 7! Throughout his career, Anakin has bested several Tekken stars, including JimmyJTran, NG-Obscure, Speedkicks, and vShadow_20z. At the Northwest Majors 2019, Anakin had an undefeated run beating US ranked #2 player JimmyJTran in both the Winners and Grand Finals. In May, Anakin had a dominant win over LowHigh in the Winners Semis of Combo Breaker 2019 but ultimately fell in the Grand Finals to Knee after a back-and-forth affair. At WSOE 7, we’ll be watching to see if Anakin can take on the #1 global force that is Knee and win.

After his military service, Shen began competing in SoulCalibur events where he earned his way through winning qualifiers. Even though he considers competing in events to be a hobby, Shen believes that he is living his dream by traveling the world.
Making History Shen Chan is most known for his 2012 EVO run, where he was the first player from Singapore to ever get on the podium with a 2nd place finish. After defeating Ruka 2-1 in the winners’ bracket, he moved on to face American Something-unique in the Winners Finals. After a convincing 2-0 win, Shen Chan made it to the Grand Finals, a place that no Singaporean player has ever been. Facing Shining Decopon from Japan, Shen Chan was unable to secure the win. More recently, Shen Chan had a convincing run at CEO 2019. After winning against MTFighter and Fyre, Shen Chan was knocked to the losers’ bracket by Bluegod and ultimately fell in the Losers Finals to RichSticks. We are excited to see if Shen Chan will be able to repeat his historic EVO placement on the WSOE stage!
