WSOE 7

With WSOE 7: The Tekken 7 & SoulCalibur VI Showdown on the way, each day we will be revealing two players from the lineup. Make sure to check back here daily to see if your favorite fighter made the cut! This is our fifth reveal in a series of seven.

Sun-woong “LowHigh” Yoon

Notable Achievements:

  • Wellplayed Challenger 2019 – 5th Place
  • OGN OSL Invitational 2019 – 5th Place
  • Thaiger Uppercut 2019 – 7th Place
  • Taipei Major 2019 – 5th Place
  • ROXnRoll Korea 2019 – 2nd Place
  • The MIXUP 2019 – 3rd Place
  • REV Major 2018 – 1st Place
  • EVO 2018 – 1st Place
  • Combo Breaker 2018 – 3rd Place

LowHigh is our second Korean Tekken player representing UYU at WSOE 7. Being in the scene for about ten years, he is currently ranked eighth on the global leaderboards. Last year, LowHigh had an exciting run at EVO, where he placed first and became a champion. Player Qudans came from the losers’ bracket and beat LowHigh 3-1. In the Grand Finals Reset, LowHigh rallied and had a convincing 3-0 win to take the crown. At this same event, LowHigh placed higher than two other WSOE 7 competitors: Anakin and JeonDDing.

UYU Battle LowHigh has been in close competition with his teammate JeonDDing for quite some time now. The pair had identical placings at the OGN OSL Invitational in 2019, getting knocked out of the event at 5th-8th place. At Thaiger Uppercut, both players were bested by Rangchu but JeonDDing was able to make it a step further in the tournament and placed 5th to LowHigh’s 7th. On two occasions, Combo Breaker 2018 and the Tekken World Tour Finals, LowHigh had to battle his future teammate JeonDDing. Even though both attempts to best JeonDDing were unsuccessful, we will be looking to see if LowHigh can come back to beat teammate and rival JeonDDing at WSOE 7.

Richard “RichSticks” Anderson

Notable Achievements:

  • CEO 2019 – 2nd Place
  • The End of Days II 2019 – 3rd Place
  • Combo Breaker 2019 – 2nd Place
  • FINAL ROUND 2019 – 7th Place
  • Midland Warfare 3 2019 – 1st Place
  • Frosty Faustings XI 2019 – 2nd Place

RichSticks is a 20-year-old college student who also competes in SoulCalibur under AccelerateGaming. His first official tournament was Frosty Faustings XI in early 2019, where he placed second behind Sandman after a Grand Finals Reset match. Disappointed in his play, RichSticks blamed his nerves but was happy that he was still able to pull out the second-place finish.

R is for Revenge At both Combo Breaker and CEO, RichSticks had identical runs. He was sent to the losers’ bracket in the Winners Finals where he fought to make it to the Grand Finals. In the Finals, RichSticks won the first match but lost in the Grand Finals Reset. At Combo Breaker, RichSticks lost to linkorz and at CEO, he lost to Bluegod. Even though RichSticks has beaten linkorz in the past, he has never been able to defeat Bluegod. At WSOE 7, will RichSticks be able to shake his nerves to get his revenge on Bluegod or will Bluegod get the best of him?
